The School of Modern Languages and Cultures at the Malaysia Campus is a new School and will receive its first intakes in September 2009, with the introduction of a BA degree in International Communications Studies and an MA in Cultural Studies.
Applications are invited for the following vacancies.
Assistant/Associate Professor in Communications/ Cultural Studies
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To carry out teaching and research duties in one or more of the following areas: Communications Studies, Media Studies, Cultural Studies and Theory; Cultural Policy, Institutions and Industries,.
To assist in the design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules in the above areas.
To be responsible to the Director of Studies for assuring appropriate quality assurance measures within the School.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Masters degree or equivalent in one of the following; Communication Studies, Media Studies, Cultural Studies and Theory; Cultural Policy, Institutions and Industries.
- Have experience of teaching in Higher Education.
- Have a proven, recent record of referred international publications.
- Have recent experience of teaching and dissertation supervision.
