School of Modern Languages and Cultures
The School of Modern Languages and Cultures at the Malaysia Campus is a new School and will receive its first intakes in September 2009, with the introduction of a BA degree in International Communications Studies and an MA in Cultural Studies.
Applications are invited for the following vacancies.
Part-time Language Tutors / University Teachers / Mandarin/Arabic/Spanish
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Language teaching from beginner to advanced levels as part of credit-bearing modules on the Bachelor of Arts in International Communications programme and other designated programmes.
Contribution to the further development of language teaching and learning resources, including e-learning and web-based provision.
Teaching on Insessional and other programmes as required.
Requirements:
- A good honours degree in a relevant discipline.
- Ability to teach from beginner to advanced level.
- Ability to communicate effectively plus a high level of proficiency in both speech and writing in the target language.
- Ability to actively participate as a member of a teaching team.
Experience of teaching at degree level in an international English-speaking institution is preferred.
