The Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Enginering at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus invites applications for appointments at Associate/Assistant Professor level in all areas relating to Mechanical Engineering. The Department is particularly interested in candidates with either computational or laboratory-based expertise in solid mechanics, vibration and/or dynamics and experience in automotive or aerospace engineering.
The Department is long-established at the UK campus and has been offering courses at the Malaysia Campus since 2004. The Malaysia Campus is fully developed with about 350 students studying mechanical engineering. All academic staff are expected to contribute to teaching and research activities. The Faculty of Engineering opened its new Engineering Research Building in 2009 and has a significant and increasing research portfolio. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have a demonstrated commitment to teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels. The successful candidate must demonstrate a capability to sustain research activity in their areas of expertise, and professional experience will be considered an asset.
