FACULTY OF ENGINEERING       

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/OFFICER (EXAMINATIONS)

The main purpose of the job is to administrate examination papers and marks processing for the Departments of the Faculty.  The incumbent is expected to provide timely and accurate reporting of marks to the examination boards, to maintain an updated database of marks as well as to track the entire process of examinations so as to ensure that deadlines are kept.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (STUDENT SUPPORT)

The main purpose of the job is to provide administrative support for students, courses and teaching activities within the Departments of the Faculty.  Areas of duties include students’ submission of coursework, enrolment, student records, attendance and compliance with administrative procedures.

For both positions, candidates are expected to meet the following requirements:

  • Possess an appropriate level of formal education
  • Have relevant working experience, preferably in an institution of higher learning
  • Demonstrate excellent IT applications skills such as in MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attentive to detail, able to identify problems and resolve them satisfactorily
  • Meticulous in work, able to take instructions, and to work in a team as well as independently.
