Application procedures for international students

Online applications

At UNMC, our aim is to make the application process as simple and efficient as possible. Therefore, all applicants are encouraged to apply online|.

All students, except for the those applying for foundation programmes will need to fill out and attach to their application an academic reference form:

Application notes

  • Please take note that the Online Application Portal operates on the UK time zone.
  • All online applications MUST be submitted before the registration date for the said intake. Intakes and registration dates can be found on our website.
  • For further assistance, please refer to the Online Application Guide (pdf) which gives step by step guidance on how to use the Online Application Portal.

Paper application

We have different application forms for different levels of study and some programmes have specific additional forms. Students for all programmes except Foundation will need an academic reference form. Please ensure you fill out the appropriate form(s):

 

If you are unable to download or print a copy of the application form you may request a paper copy by writing to: international.enquiries@nottingham.edu.my|

Application fee

The University charges an application fee of USD $50.00 for international students applying for all courses (foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate/research).

Applicants need to attach the application fee form| (pdf) and proof of payment before submitting their application (either online or via the post). Applicants are encourage to pay the application fee online at: https://epay.nottingham.edu.my |

Supporting documents

The following documents must be sent alongside your application form(s):

Foundation/Undergraduate

  • Official GCSE+AS level results and predicted A level grades or equivalent
  • a signed and sealed academic reference form (undergraduate only)
  • proof of English language competency
  • copy of your passport
  • application fee form

Postgraduate/Research

  • academic transcripts from all university-level study
  • two signed and sealed academic reference forms
  • proof of English language competency
  • copy of your passport
  • application fee form
 

What happens to your application?

After you have completed your application form(s) you may return it by post, fax or email:

Reviewing your application

Your complete application form will be considered by our Admissions Tutors and a decision will be made within two working weeks of us having received your application form.

Throughout the application process our Admissions Staff will keep you updated on the status of your application, from confirmation of receipt through to informing you of the decision that has been made.

International students should make sure they allow sufficient time to obtain the relevant visa(s). For more information about visas, insurance, health and life in Malaysia please visit the International Office|.
