Business School academician accepted into Nottingham Research Leaders Programme 2016

Dr Nafis Alam, Associate Professor of Finance at Nottingham University Business School Malaysia, was one of several successful academicians who have been accepted into the Nottingham Research Leaders Programme for 2016.

The Nottingham Research Leaders Programme (NRLP) aims to support the development and advancement of identified key academicians in their strategic research leadership roles, in order that they are better placed to deliver excellent research with impact, in pursuance of the objectives of The University of Nottingham's Strategic Plan. The NRLP is granted to research-active academicians who display inspirational and visionary research leadership roles that serve the wider interests of the University.

Dr Alam's key research areas in Islamic Finance and its role in the global economy will be the focus of his work during his participation in the NRLP.

"Through the experiences that I will gain in this programme, I am looking forward to being able to further contribute to the School and the University's research profile not just in terms of high quality research but also impactful research, by effectively mentoring and developing the potential of colleagues in similar research domains," states Dr Alam.
