HR leader speaks to MBA students on personality and communication

Mr Saravanan Karumanan addressed MBA students in the Managing People module on the significance of personality and communication, drawing from his experience in Human Resource management and HR consultancy. The session was hosted by NUBS Malaysia's Dr Carol Hooi, Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour.

Speaker profile

Saravanan Karumanan, or better known in the industry as SK, has close to 20 years of experience in the People Development and Talent Management space. His career to date has spanned academia, international management/HR consulting and corporate HR in multinational corporations. He was also an entrepreneur early in his career designing and delivering customized HR solutions.

Having a strong foundation in academia, consulting and corporate HR with extensive regional work experience, SK has the unique ability to bring across HR/management research and theories that make immediate sense to working professionals. His professional experiences enable him to provide not only real examples but also a realistic picture of best practices gleaned from working with some of the biggest consumer, technology and financial brands in the world.
