NUBS Malaysia undergraduates win marketing plan proposal competition

The “Innovative Youth, Future Business Leader 2.0” competition was organised by the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSCCCI), aimed at developing entrepreneurial thinking among Malaysian youth. It is a national-level competition with participants from various universities in Malaysia. The competition kicked off with a seminar entitled “Unleash the Power of Social Media” in April 2015, led by Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) Chief Executive Officer Cheryl Yeoh, DiGi Telecommunications Social Media Manager Aileen Soo and Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd Marketing Manager Soong Sham Mee.

“Dream Team” from NUBS Malaysia, comprising undergraduates Ng Yong Jia, Liew Wai Yip, Edward Lee Yee Hoong, Chew Jac Yee and Ang Kai Jie, whose strategic plan devised for leatherwear, footwear and apparel brand Bonia won them a RM6,000 cash prize in their category.

Winners in other categories were teams from the University of Malaya, Taylor's University and Multimedia University.
