InternsCombined

Successful 2012 summer internships completed

Goh Song You (Year 1 student):

"Keensbridge Sdn. Bhd. is a car trader company. In my internship with them, I help them to design a webpage to publish all their cars online. Their main purpose for the webpage is to let more people know what type of cars they are selling. To design a webpage, the module that relates the most is Web Programming and Scripting (G51WPS)."

Lam Quoc Dat (Year 2 student):

"My name is Lam Quoc Dat and I am doing part-time internship at Open-Source Geospatial Lab, School of Geography, as part of the Open Source based Geospatial Resource for Agricultural Species and Pests (GRASP) project, under the supervision of Dr. Tuong Thuy Vu. The main objective is to figure out ideas contributing to the existing GRASP platform. My colleagues and I strive to extend addition features of the interface and integrate custom data for Bambara groundnut. In order to achieve the targets of this GRASP project, it requires such a long time and a huge resource, therefore 10 weeks is a real challenge for me. I am very excited and I would like to thank Dr. Tuong Thuy Vu who did give me this opportunity."

Arvinth A/L Gunasegaran (Year 2 student):

"After the interview process with Hilti (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd, I got the internship position. My job scope is to help to maintain the SAP landscape for Hilti. We monitor the entire SAP system of Hilti like performing system checks among many other things."
