Present to represent

About the module

Whether you are empathising, building trust or empowering someone, the effectiveness of your presentation matters to the listening party. Whether you aim to motivate change, influence decision or arouse passion, the style of your delivery matters to the listening party. So how do you add value to them? You grow.

P2R is a pathway built to offer a continual professional development platform. Our purpose is to guide you with a set of verified tools to be integrated into your presentation, embellishing your delivery. Following a scientifically-proven coaching formula reinforced by Ho Law’s book, “The Psychology of Coaching, Mentoring and Learning”, this NAA module is not just another speech-enhancing course but a gateway to a new growth frontier.

The key deliverables through the entire experience-transfer environment in this module shall inflate your employability, skills development, and extra-curricular experience. In various advocacy situations, impromptu and prepared speeches help shape one’s professionalism and this shall be fostered in P2R in the following disciplines:

  1. Persuasion
  2. Empathy
  3. Narration/Story-telling
  4. Empowerment
  5. Personal Development

Assessment and schedule

Practicality is what we must dwell in and therefore advocate its magnitude. By the same intellection, there are no written assessment or submissions per se. However, individuals’ attendance, commitment and progress shall be monitored throughout the sessions to guarantee NAA credits.

A manageable mono-hourly schedule every week for 12 consecutive weeks conducing to a cumulative period of just 12 hours of the whole semester (in technicality half a day only) is what would be deemed necessary for any participant of this module.

This is the sole NAA module that is permitted to run for 2 consecutive semesters, attributable to P2R’s high key performance indicators. This has also led to the participant allowance increasing from 15 to 50 per semester as a testimonial to P2R’s commendable growth and value addition to students over the past year.

Student's testimonial

P2R has been an important part of my journey of stepping out of my comfort zone in the aspect of public speaking. It has not only made a big impact of my presenting skills but has also aided me in many other parts such as implementing different tools and ways to capture the audience’s attention to give a memorable speech. Mr Abdel has proved to be an amazing coach, giving us motivation and constructive criticism. He gave us confidence and guided us to become better performers in front of a big audience. Overall, P2R really does prove to carry its name well ‘present to represent’, which I will always keep in my mind wherever I present. Thank you for this amazing journey and I wish P2R the best for its future!” -
Lee Lin Li, P2R graduate

P2R will be a good choice for people with or without public speaking experience. As it provides on the spot guidance and it provides tips on impromptu speech to smoothen the awkwardness in case we have forgotten our lines during a presentation.” - Yeoh Jun Xian, P2R graduate

I have always lacked confidence in public speaking. I would feel abashed when I had to speak publicly or when everyone focused on me. During the 3-month-long journey, I had to speak publicly in every single lesson. (If you don’t, Mr. Abdel will make you speak) Did I say speak? As a conclusion, I would like to quote Mr. Abdel. “Don’t speak, present it to me.” That’s what he said every time I speak.” - Choo Jin Yeong
