The Politics of Economics and the Economics of Politicians

About 

This module aims to develop explain the links between politics and economics. Students will be equipped to analyse the work of major political figures in light of the key economic ideas of time. It is the aim of this module that students will be equipped to understand the dynamic relationship between economic theory and political decisions.

To be awarded credit for the module, students are required to complete selected steps above, copy the URL of their FutureLearn profile page into the Moodle forum (so that we can track the above), and complete a reflective blog in Moodle (up to 2,000 words). This reflective blog could be partially made up of comments you have made to the question prompts in the FutureLearn steps. It should also include an overall reflection on the FutureLearn course as a whole. 


Application process   

  1. Enrol on the FutureLearn MOOC   
  2. Self enrol on Moodle 
  3. Copy the URL of your FutureLearn profile page into the Moodle forum

Shortlisting criteria:

First 300 students who complete the application process above

Module Application Date: Now

Module Start Date: 12 February 2018, Monday

Module End Date: 26 March 2018, Monday

At the end of the module, students are expected to write a 2,000 words reflective journal.
