Registration

 

New Students

All new students are required to complete the Online Registration before the in-person registration. Before you begin your studies for the first time, you must register in-person with the University at the set date/time after you have completed the Online Registration. This involves you signing a Registration Form which is your agreement to observe the University's regulations while you are a student here. You should read the summary of your rights and further information about the University's Regulations before coming to the registration event. 

Once you have completed the registration process and paid your fees, you are enrolled with the University and will be issued with your student identity card which gives you access to the campus and its facilities.

Foundation year students transferring to a degree programme and new students who are beginning a new programme of study at the University will need to confirm their attendance in person.

We refer to the regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Immigration, all new International students have to obtain the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) before entering Malaysia and register with the University. The University will not be liable for any action taken by the Malaysian Immigration authorities if the students did not follow the regulations as mentioned.

Returning Students

All returning students are required to complete the Online Registration at the beginning of every term (academic year). It is extremely important for returning students to update their personal details and complete the online registration process. Please also adhere strictly to the payment of tuition fees deadline set by the Finance Office or it will affect your student's status in the University. International students must also ensure that your visa is valid during your study period at the University.

Induction

All new students are required to attend an Induction Programme. The Induction Programme will cover the topics as follow: 

  • Introduction to University Teaching and Learning Support
  • Security Matters
  • Wellbeing and Learning Support
  • Introduction to Careers Advisory Service
  • Introduction to the Student Association
  • Introduction to Sports Complex
  • Briefing on Computer Services for New Students
  • Briefing on Library Services for New Students
  • Briefing on Accommodation and Transportation for New Students
  • Faculty / School Induction Programme
  • Induction for New International Students
