Dr. Maria Teresa Punzi was visiting the Research Department of the Central Bank of Portugal under the Grant Visiting Program during summer 2013.
She developed with Caterina Mendicino (Research Economist at the Bank of Portugal) a DSGE model in open economy to account of foreign saving gluts. They analyze the implication of Macro-Prudential Policies supporting the ongoing regulations to mitigate boom-bust cycles and financial crisis.
