MA Educational Leadership & Management

MA Educational Leadership & Management

The MA in Educational Leadership and Management is a core programme of study designed for leaders and managers in education. The course aims to: strengthen leadership and management skills; enable you  to apply theory and ideas within your workplace and utilise existing and emerging research-informed knowledge of educational leadership internationally.

The course will be delivered through part time blocks of study (such as holidays and weekends) so that educators can take part while continuing in their current jobs.

The course is vitally relevant for middle and senior managers and leaders in schools and post-compulsory educational organisations in the UK and overseas, and those who advise these managers and leaders e.g. Local Authority staff, educational consultants, policy advisors.

Current and former students from around the world have found that the course improves the way in which they carry out their current role and allows them to gain promotions to more senior positions. They particularly value the face-to-face contact with experienced tutors and the interaction with peers. In addition, the university's extensive e-journal collection can be accessed from an Internet connection at home, allowing participants to access the most up-to-date ideas and research. Ongoing tutorial support is provided by email in addition to the tutor inputs and support at the module sessions
