English Language Support

The School of English Language Education (SELE)offers a programme of insessional English Language courses and language support for students at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. We provide individual consultation, self-access facilities, and insessional courses consisting of weekly classes during term time.

Insessional Courses

Insessional courses offer once-weekly classes, to help you with language and study skills needed for your academic courses. The classes are taught in modules lasting from four to seven weeks. They take place at lunchtimes, in the afternoon and at the end of the normal teaching day. There are courses available for Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. Details of courses offered are emailed to all students at the start of each semester. They can also be found on the notice board in SELE.

How to Register for Insessional English Courses

To register for any of the above courses simply sign up on the lists on our notice board in the third floor lobby of Block G, or register at the Administrative office of SELE in room GD14. You may also register by emailing our administrator at Lau.Pooi-Fan@nottingham.edu.my

As there is a high demand for Insessional courses, please only sign up for courses that you are serious about attending, otherwise you may be denying other more committed students the opportunity to study.
