Public lecture series on global food security

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) is pleased to announce a series of public lectures to take place on Friday October 7th at 2:30pm.  The lectures will be chaired by Professor Graham Kendall, Vice-Provost for Research and Knowledge Transfer at UNMC.  The three-part series will be based on the theme of global food security. The event will take place at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus in room F1A15 and is open to the public.

The series will include a lecture by Sir John Beddington, the Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK government who will discuss the importance of international collaboration in addressing global challenges such as food and energy security. 

Sir John Beddington will be joined by Professor Sayed Azam-Ali, CEO of Crops for the Future Research Centre and Dr Stephen Hall, Director General of the World Fish Centre in Penang to further discuss the contributions Malaysia can make to global food security.
