FT success for Nottingham University Business School

Nottingham University Business School has retained its place among a select group of business education institutions in the 2014 Financial Times Top Global Masters in Finance ranking published recently.

The ranking is based on a survey of alumni who graduated three years ago - in this case, the School’s MSc Finance and Investment students who graduated in 2011.

This is the third consecutive year that Nottingham has placed in this ranking, which this year included business schools from the UK, Europe, the USA, China, and Australia.

Professor Martin Binks, Dean of Nottingham University Business School said: “We are delighted that our MSc in Finance and Investment has been ranked in the top global programmes by the Financial Times. Rankings become more competitive every year and it is gratifying to see the benefits of our continuing improvement to the overall experience we offer our masters students."

The ranking takes into account alumni salaries, career progression, and their assessment of the Masters programme and is intended to give an independent assessment of pre-experience MSc programmes in finance and an insight into the schools that teach them and their alumni.

The methodology includes a survey of the School’s staff and the diversity of current MSc Finance and Investment students, as well as the percentage of students employed three months after graduation.
