Title: Building Collaboration for Research on Community Based Forest Management in Selangor
Abstract:
The theme of the workshop is to learn about community-based natural resources management in Malaysia and building research collaboration with like-minded stakeholders. The community participation in the management of natural resources, especially in forest management, has been proved to be an efficient approach of sustainable resource conservation. In the Malaysian context, this area is least explored, but has many implications for tackling resource degradation and climate change. We are hoping that some of these implications would be discussed in this workshop.
