High Achievers' Scholarship

The High Achievers' Scholarships provide a reduction of 25% of the tuition fees to incoming Foundation & undergraduate students

This scholarship is awarded for only one academic year and is not applicable for the progressing academic year.

Students may subsequently be eligible at the point of progression for the Dean’s Excellence Scholarships (DES).

There is no application form for this scholarship - it is automatically awarded to the most deserving students.


Dean's Excellence Scholarship

The Dean’s Excellence Scholarships (DES) amount to a fee reduction of 25%. They are awarded to top achieving students ─ up to the top 10% of the faculty's high achievers ─ at the point of progression for each academic year

These scholarships are specifically available to Foundation and undergraduate students who entered university without a High Achievers' Scholarship. 

There is no application form for this scholarship - it is automatically awarded to the most deserving students. 


Other Scholarships

Students interested in studying with the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences for the Foundation or Undergraduate programmes may be particularly interested in the Star and Sin Chew education funds.

Post-Graduate Taught (PGT) Scholarship

Applicants for all full time post-graduate taught courses offered in the Faculty are eligible to apply for this competitive award.  

From April 2012, this scholarship entitles applicant to a 25% reduction in their course fees. Both Malaysian and non-Malaysian applicants are eligible. 

How to apply

In order to apply, you must: 

  • be holding an unconditional offer letter and have accepted the offer for full time Masters degree programme at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus through the Online Application Portal. A copy of unconditional offer letter and proof of payment of tuition fee deposit must be attached together with the application. 
  • complete the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences PGT Scholarship form and submit it together with offer letter and proof of payment of tuition fee deposit to the faculty office at email fass.pgt@nottingham.edu.my before the deadline. Please note that only completed form with all supporting documents will be considered. 
  • Deadline to apply:
    • September intake: 15 July
      (e.g. for September 2016/17 intake, the deadline for application is on 15 July 2016). 
    • December intake: 15 October
      (e.g. for December 2016/17 intake, the deadline for application is on 15 October 2016).
    • February intake: 30 November
      (e.g. for February 2017/18 intake, the deadline for application is on 30 November 2016).
    • June intake: 31 March
      (e.g. for June 2017/18 intake, the deadline for application is on 31 March 2017). 
  • Successful applicants will be notified two (2) weeks after deadline to apply. 
  • Finding our if your application has been successful
    • a decision on your application will be made by
      a panel of Faculty staff.
    • only successful applicant will be notified via email.
