Biography
Dr. Sitara Karim is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Nottingham University Business School, The University of Nottingham, Malaysia. As part of her research endeavors, she is a member of the Ph.D. Supervisory Committee at Nottingham University Business School under Accounting and Finance disciplines. She is a Ph.D. in Finance & Banking from the School of Economics, Finance, and Banking, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is a Fellow of the Center for Market Educations (CME) Malaysia. Moreover, she is European Marketing and Management Association Women's Forum Member. She is currently AEIC Annual Academic Committee Member and an expert reviewer at AI Scholar. She has more than 7 years of teaching and 11 years of Research and Publication experience. She has a number of publications in highly prestigious journals: Economics Letters, International Review of Financial Analysis, Finance Research Letters, Energy Economics, Emerging Markets Review, Current Issues in Tourism, Int. J of Hospitality Management, Journal of Environmental Management, Research in International Business and Finance, Economic Analysis and Policy, etc. Her research interests are financial markets, sustainable Corporate Governance, Board Gender Diversity, FinTech, Cryptocurrencies, Environmental Aspects of Cryptos, Tail Risk, Dependence Structure of Financial Markets, Systematic Risk, and Spillovers. She is serving as an Editorial Advisory Board Member of Heliyon Business & Economics Journal, and Review of International Business and Strategy.

Future Research
As a future research agenda, her research is focused toward carbon emissions, carbon risk, and sustainability aspects along with the modified role of Corporate Governance indicators. Moreover, she is continuously seeking to master new methodological techniques to implement them on current financial markets to know their spillovers/dependence over various time horizons.
