metallurgical coke (petrography, image analysis, texture and structure, strength, interfaces, co-carbonisation, coking pressure); carbon in fly-ash; coal gasification; spouted beds; biomass utilisation feasibility review; low cost absorbents for CO2; carbon deposition; ammonia formation during pyrolysis; NOx formation during combustion

Future Research

Currently working on Biochar from Agricultural Waste with regard to its potential as a gasification feedstock, means of CO2 capture and as a soil enhancer. Would like to expand into exploring the co-combustion and co-carbonisation of those biochars with coals from the South-East Asia region.
