Dr Chin is an Assistant Professor with the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus in the Department of Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering. She obtained her PhD from the university in 2011. Her main interest remains with project management with more emphasis on designing a methodology for use to managing complex, yet dynamic collaborative research between university academicians and industry partners which she is working on publishing it to aid institutional in research environment. In addition, she is also looking at technological innovation in knowledge intensive industries. Apart from this area of interest, she's also conducting research in the area of renewable energy policies management & implementation with the adoption of project management concepts & techniques, pollution management for river basin conservation programme for Malaysia and lean concepts & management in the manufacturing industries. Being the academic and industry for more than ten years, Dr Chin had published and presented in many local and international conferences and contributed to the body of knowledge; supervised a number of undergraduates and postgraduates (MSc and PhDs). She is also very active as a reviewers number of international journals. She's currently the departmental undergraduate Course Director overseeing, managing and providing strategic lead all the undergraduates programmes.

I worked in these few major areas at present:

1. Project management knowledge, application and techniques, project management methodology development and implementation,

2. Strategic alliances in R&D collaborative research project methodology, technological innovation

3. Engineering management , lean manufacturing & life cycle assessment for sustainability & environmental impact in manufacturing industries

4. Renewable energy policies management & implementation with the integration of project management methodologies,

5. Pollution management in specific river restoration, remediation & prevention programme in Malaysia
