Biography

Ianatul Khoiroh is presently an Assistant Professor at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. She completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), Taiwan. Prior to her PhD, she received her Double Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from NTUST and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Indonesia, and completed her Bachelor Degree at ITS. She is currently addressing most of her research time to the thermophysical properties and characterization of complex fluids such as polymer solutions and surfactants mixtures. Using quantum chemistry calculations and molecular dynamics simulations, she also attempts to predict various physical and chemical properties of advanced materials in multiple length and time scales.

Her research interests include, but not limited to the following areas: (1) thermophysical properties measurements and correlations, particularly vapor-liquid equilibria of polymeric solutions and surfactants containing system, (2) synthesis and characterization of new ionic liquids, (3) quantum chemistry calculations and molecular dynamics simulations of complex fluids, (4) solubility of biological compounds in aqueous organic solvents, (5) phase separation, and (6) polymer physics.
