  • recruiting, developing and retaining exceptional staff with outstanding research backgrounds
  • developing a creative and entrepreneurial culture throughout the Institution
  • maximising the impact of our research and scholarship
  • respecting the local culture, values and needs of our host communities

We will add value and context to our operations by:

  • building on business opportunities
  • securing sustainable partnerships and networks that deliver mutual opportunities and benefits

Research Strategy Committee

The primary objective of the UNMC Research Strategy Committee (RSC) is to develop, implement and deliver the research strategy for UNMC, in order to meet the objectives set by UNMC and the University.

Alongside this the RSC monitors and manages postgraduate scholarships and grant administration and also liaises with other Nottingham campuses to maximise resources and collaboration and ensure our research successes reach wide internal and external audiences.

The Committee is chaired by Professor Claire O'Malley, Vice-Provost for Research and Knowledge Exchange. Membership includes the Dean of each faculty as well as other nominated academic and administrative staff.

The committee reports to the Malaysia Campus Management Group.
