Dean's Excellence Scholarship
The Dean’s Excellence Scholarship (DES) amounts to a fee reduction of 25%. It is awarded to top achieving students within the top 2% of the school population, at the point of progression for each academic year, i.e. from:

Foundation to Year 1

Year 1 to Year 2

Year 2 to Year 3
- Year 3 to Year 4 (for Engineering and BEd courses only)
This means that students who entered university without a High Achievers' Scholarship may be eligible for the DES when they perform outstandingly on the programme they have undertaken.
Students who have been awarded scholarships from UNM or receiving sponsorships from external sponsoring bodies will not be eligible for the reduction.
