Course overview
Every day we rely on aspects of civil engineering to enable us to live our lives. As a civil engineer you must be socially aware and interested in working with people to solve problems and meet challenges. Whether it is building the French Millau Bridge, The London Eye, the Petronas Towers or life-saving water treatment plants in developing countries, civil engineering is the core discipline that enables projects such as these to happen. Civil engineers deal with design, construction, and the management of projects to help improve the world we live in. This course will provide you with the technical knowledge and experience needed to develop these skills. It will equip you with a range of transferable skills giving an ideal combination for a leading career in civil engineering.
Why choose this course?
At the University of Nottingham Malaysia, you will follow the same high-quality degree curriculum that has helped civil engineering at UNM to be consistently rated among the top civil engineering schools in the UK. We have strong links with both with the UK school and industry professionals at Masters level allowing us to deliver world-class teaching that reflects the research interests of our academic staff. This ensures programme content represents state-of-the-art research and up to date developments along with enabling MSc students to work on projects that contribute to the ongoing research in the faculty.
