Objectives

ECRN objectives

As an active and vibrant part of academic life at the Malaysia Campus, the ECRN has identified the following objectives:

  • To provide support, training, and friendly-feedback on postgraduate research.
  • To share research knowledge from a range of disciplines within the UNMC.
  • To gather academics across the UNMC to discuss current and future research directions and global developments.
  • To encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration on journal papers, reports, research grant application bids and conference presentations.
  • To facilitate networking and research-connection opportunities with both peers and senior colleagues at the UNMC.

Outcomes

It is hoped that the ECRN will greatly benefit the larger research agenda at UNMC through:

  • research education and knowledge-sharing
  • postgraduate training and skills development
  • professional development and networking
  • mentorship and support

The ECRN seeks to reflect its ethos in the seminars, papers and workshop content presented by seeking to highlight the social application and broad relevance of the disciplines represented.
