School of Education, Malaysia Campus invites you to attend a seminar entitled 'Engaging children with severe and profound disabilities to build communication.' Children with severe intellectual impairment, who often have a dual diagnosis of ASD, can be the most difficult to engage with any adult choice of activity. This makes them some of the most challenging students to teach. To address this Anne, and her colleague Dr Jackie Dearden, have developed the MORE model (Means, Opportunities, Reasons and Expectations). In this workshop Anne will present approaches from her own research, illustrated with video. More information on the MORE model can be obtained from: http://journal.frontiersin.org/article/10.3389/fnint.2013.00045/full Details:Date: 7 October 2015, WednesdayTime: 14:15 to 15:45Venue: F1A23 The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus Jalan Broga 43500 Semenyih Selangor Darul Ehsan
