Description

School of Education, Malaysia Campus invites you to attend a seminar entitled 'The iPad-just another learning tool or the key to iPadagogy?'

iPads and tablet computers generally have become quite fashionable items in modern learning environments. They enable learners to experience ubiquitous, mobile use of computers as learning tools but, as with any such innovation, research is needed to explore their effects on learning achievements. In this seminar, I will explore one piece of research into the use of iPads as learning tools in a UK secondary school. One key question concerned the ways in which regular iPad use by learners made demands upon classroom management. Is it fanciful to talk about iPadagogy, in the sense of transformations of traditional school pedagogy?
