MyBurgerLab named Best Western Restaurant by TimeOut KL

myBurgerLab won Best Western Restaurant in the Time Out KL Food Awards 2013 based on votes cast by the city’s residents. Shortlisted as Best New Restaurant in Time Out KL Food Awards 2012, myBurgerLab is a hip burger outlet owned and managed by Nottingham alumnus, Teoh Wee Kiat and his business partner, Chin Ren Yi since July 2012.

“It’s a real pleasure to see another alumnus of the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus being recognised with such a prestigious award. I would like to offer my sincere congratulations on this proud occasion and I look forward to the continued success of myBurgerLab,” said Professor Christine Ennew, Provost and CEO of The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.

Restaurants shortlisted for Best Western Restaurant are Hakka Republic, Maria’s Café, Mezze, Ril’s Bangsar and twenty.one kitchen+bar.

The award, now in its 5th year was presented by celebrities, Xandria Ooi and Josiah Mizukami, in the presence of Matt Belloti Chief Content Officer of Mongoose Publishing at The Roof, a new entertainment outlet in KL.

Owing their success to their clients, they said “We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. Our customers are awesome. Always a pleasure to serve and always so understanding. So, we are awarding you, our own myBurgerLab customers, the Best Customers Award 2013!”
