The University is investing £2m over four years in a new internal fellowship programme to support outreach, innovation and business engagement. Funded by the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF), activities supported by these awards must be geared towards HEIF goals of achieving economic and/or social benefit to the UK.
Fellowships are aimed at post-doctoral research assistants, researchers and academic members of staff on all campuses and will fund a range of activities, including buying out time to focus on specific research areas.
Interested staff will need to fill out the appropriate expression of interest and application forms, both are available from Hermes Fellowships website.
Applications for buy-out fellowships must include a CV and a letter of support from the Head of School. Applicants for industrial secondments must also provide a letter of support from the industrial host.
Applicants for innovation-based applications are strongly advised to contact the Technology Transfer Office (tto@nottingham.ac.uk) to complete their application.
This fellowship will run until 2015 with calls for submissions in September and January of each year.
