Guest Workshop: Intro to Web3 & Build Your First Dapp with Scroll

The guest workshop was held from 2pm-4pm on the 23^rd April 2025 at F3A08 by Mr. Ren Hau Hing, who is currently the Senior Developer Relations at Scroll, a company building secure and performant blockchain framework for the Open Economy.

The workshop provided students peek into what is web3, Ethereum blockchain, smart contracts and rollups and hands-on experience to build a decentralized application (dapp) and bring it up and running within an hour with toolkits and frameworks such as Remix, Scaffold-Eth, Open Zeppelin and Foundry. There are about 30 students from computer science and other disciplines participated in the workshop.
