What we are looking for

We are looking for early graduates from computer science, information technology or relevant disciplines. The candidate should be independent and ready to work with an international team of researchers from different disciplines. The candidate should be a good programmer and should be passionate about learning new technologies and finding unconventional solutions for unconventional problems. Working hours are from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

What we do

This is a research project that aims to develop a Web and Mobile application connected to the cloud. The cloud system hosts SQL and NoSQL databases along with data and application engines. We are using machine learning and AI models to interpret the data and to implement entity recognition and a recommendation and search engine.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop web and mobile application (JS/HTML/CSS/Cordova/SQL/Shell Script/Python/PHP).
  • Data management SQL and NoSQL.
  • Use regular expressions to process text and csv files (Shell scripting, Python, AWK, SED, Excel, OpenRefine).
  • Manage resources on the cloud (virtual machines, Cloud SQL, AutoML, Cloud Authentication, Cloud Virtual Private Network, and others).
  • Test applications using automated and manual solutions. Quality assurance of product developments.
  • Report to development manager.

Requirements

  • Graduate students at Degree level in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
  • Programming languages: (JS/HTML/CSS/Cordova/SQL/Shell Script/Python/PHP).
  • Operating systems: Linux.
  • Knowledge of scientific computing using ML/AI is a plus.
  • Preferable to have some experience in troubleshooting, debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent documentation, written, presentation and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Highly motivated with the desire to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality and interact professionally with all levels of management and personnel.
