Students Gain Valuable Cybersecurity Insight During Visit to LGMS

On December 5th, 17 students from the school of computer science visited LGMS, an independent cybersecurity services firm, to learn more about potential careers in the IT security industry. LGMS provides professional security services including cyber assessments, penetration testing, cyber risk management, digital forensics, and incident response for corporate clients. During the visit, the students were given an overview of the company and its cybersecurity offerings. Additionally, LGMS staff provided a hands-on demonstration of WiFi hacking and explains various digital forensics tools and techniques. The students also took a tour of LGMS' state-of-the-art facilities. Our computer science students were grateful for the time LGMS spent showcasing real-world examples of services they may one day perform for employers. The students came away more knowledgeable about cyber threats as well as job opportunities in the security industry.
