Amir Ahsanuddin Bin Aminuddin

About Amir

Amir completed his Diploma in International Baccalaureates (IB) at Nexus International School before continuing his Degree in Environmental Science at University of Nottingham Malaysia. After graduating, Amir was a fundraiser for WWF-Malaysia for 3 months before becoming a full-time anti-poaching officer for tiger conservation at the same organisation. He worked closely with the orang-asli communities in Belum-Temenggor to stop poaching activities in the vicinity.
 

Career

Currently, Amir is still involved with WWF-Malaysia and he plans on staying in the conservation sector as it is his passion. Amir plans on doing his Master’s in Geospatial Science. He finds that this wide topic can be vital when it comes to conservation. His interests include remote sensing, GIS and landscape ecology and he wishes to expand his knowledge on these skills in the future.
