Synergistic mechanisms of Lignosus rhinocerus and Ophiocordyceps sinensis on airway relaxation and healthspan enhancement
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a fully funded research project. This project aims to investigate the synergistic therapeutic potential of two medicinal mushrooms, Lignosus rhinocerus and Ophiocordyceps sinensis, in promoting airway smooth muscle relaxation and enhancing healthspan. The PhD candidate will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive knowledge and technical skills in physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology, and animal handling, as well as strengthen essential soft skills throughout the project.
Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

A good master’s degree plus an upper second-class honours degree (2:1) in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline or a first-class honours degree in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
Financial support
Financial support will be provided: Monthly stipend for 3 years and tuition fee waiver.
