Summer School Bursaries for Malaysians and Singaporeans

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) is offering partial bursaries to Malaysian and Singaporean students, who are interested in attending the 4th annual Association of Commonwealth Universities Summer School at UNMC from August 17 to 24, 2014.

This year's programme is ‘Global food security; can we feed a growing world?’ The Summer School provides a forum for high caliber students from Commonwealth countries to discuss topical global issues and we look forward to hosting students from different parts of the world as they join the diverse community at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.

“These bursaries provide a fantastic opportunity for Malaysian and Singaporean students to attend a truly international Summer School and work with students from around the Commonwealth on issues of local, national and global significance” said Dr. Christopher Hill, UNMC Director Research Training and Academic Development and ACU Summer School Coordinator.

Students from varied disciplines such as food security, engineering, urban planning, politics, agriculture, sociology, geology, gender, health science, nutrition and economics are encouraged to apply.

“This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn from international and inter-cultural discussion and team work as they engage in a dynamic and interactive programme looking at a key issue facing us all today,” said Dr Christopher Hill.

The bursaries are awarded by The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) for students enrolled in any of its member universities.

Deadline for applications is June 13, 2014. Interested applicants are required to complete the application form here: Application Form. More details of the programme, eligibility and how to apply can be found here or on the press release, you may also email Dr Christopher Hill.
