Ranking leap for Nottingham University Business School's MBA

The University of Nottingham’s popular Masters of Business Administration course has leapt up The Economist global MBA rankings for 2019. The Economist Top 100 MBA league table is regarded as one of the most influential of the global rankings. It is distinctive for its surveying of full-time MBA students while they are on the course, giving a true reflection of their experience on the programme. The course is delivered by Nottingham University Business School and has risen 7 places, to 84 overall worldwide. The School is one of only 6 of the 16 UK business schools to rise up in The Economist rankings this year.

This year the Nottingham MBA has scored highly on key measures of Personal and Educational Experience and the Potential to Network has increased considerably. These scores put the course in the top 50 globally. The School has built on previous success to boost engagement with alumni and to attract top visiting speakers as well as enabling students to spend time in business organisations around the UK and overseas business study tours.

University of Nottingham, UK MBA Director, Dr Amrit Judge, said: “This is a very pleasing outcome. Our new position in this well-respected global ranking in the field of postgraduate business education is testament to the hard work, dedication and professionalism of both academics and the career development team that support the programme.

“Engaging with industry and commerce is vital if we are to provide the professional development and networking opportunities expected by MBA students.  It is great to see that our students are recognising and appreciating the value gained from the wide-ranging external engagement opportunities offered by our MBA programme.” The Economist MBA 2019 Top 100 ranking is taken from surveys of full-time students on the course, MBA alumni as well as a School survey. Full time MBA students at the University’s campus in Malaysia were also included.
