KPMG Malaysia and UNM sign MOU for students' development

KPMG Malaysia and the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) have signed an MOU to provide a platform to offer UNM students the opportunity to enhance their future careers.

The MOU was signed by UNM Interim Provost and CEO Professor Sarah Metcalfe and KPMG Malaysia Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer Adrian Lee at a ceremony on 13 July 2022.

Through this new partnership, UNM students will have the opportunity for internships at KPMG and also become KPMG ambassadors. Both KPMG and UNM will organise events and activities for students to gain industry exposure while they are still studying.

Other initiatives include industry training attachment opportunities for lecturers, annual appointment of selected students as KPMG Ambassadors, industry visit opportunities, hosting of technical as well as non-technical engagement programmes including guest lectures and bootcamps.

In tandem with this initiative, KPMG also signed an MOU with other universities in Malaysia including Universiti Malaya, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, International Islamic University of Malaysia, Sunway University, Taylor’s University, INTEC Education College, Multimedia University and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College.

Also present at the signing ceremony was UNM Registrar Patrick Joseph and UNM Head of Careers Advisory Service Alicia Ch’ng.
