We are aware of recent reports referencing the University of Nottingham’s latest financial statements and would like to provide clarification.
Recent media reports refer to an accounting provision in the consolidated financial statements of the University of Nottingham (UK) relating to historic management fees across the University’s global operations.
The Malaysian campus pays an annual management fee to the home campus, and these fees are paid periodically across different accounting cycles, i.e., the Malaysian campus uses a calendar year for its financial reporting, unlike the home campus.
The University of Nottingham Malaysia continues to operate normally and invests in our teaching and learning, student experience, research, and global partnerships.
Teaching, student life, facilities, research, and support services continue uninterrupted, and we remain deeply committed to our Malaysian campus and its important role within our global university community.
