From internships and graduate roles to on-campus interviews and CV reviews, the annual University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) Careers and Internship Fair 2026 highlighted the University’s strong focus on graduate employability.
Held on 7 and 8 April 2026, the annual fair brought together more than 30 companies and over 1,000 UNM students on campus, creating opportunities for students to explore career pathways, secure internships, and connect directly with employers from a wide range of industries.
Organised by the University’s Careers Advisory Service (CAS), the event is an annual initiative aimed at opening doors to internship and graduate employment opportunities. Students get to connect with industry partners that offer career pathways across multiple sectors, while employers are able to engage with UNM’s pool of emerging talent and strengthen ties with the University.
The event was officiated by UNM Provost Professor David FitzPatrick, accompanied by Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning Hazel Melanie Ramos and Head of Careers Advisory Service Alicia Ch’ng.

Following the welcome address, a speed networking session was held between student representatives and participating employers. The session was designed to bridge the gap between students and industry by highlighting the qualities employers increasingly seek beyond academic achievement, including adaptability, communication skills, leadership, resilience, and a growth mindset.
Notable employers, representing a myriad of sectors ranging from banking to fast moving consumer goods to e-commerce to energy and technology, included Maybank, Nestle, Shopee, and Panasonic.

Throughout the two-day fair, students had the opportunity to visit employer booths, participate in on-campus interviews, and receive direct feedback through speed CV review sessions with employers such as BP Malaysia and Grant Thornton. A LinkedIn photoshoot booth was also available to help students strengthen their professional branding and online presence.

Additionally, CAS operated its own booth featuring career resources and interactive activities aimed at helping students better understand the recruitment process and develop skills that support career readiness.
In preparation for the fair, CAS organised a Pre-Careers Fair Series comprising four sessions covering resume writing, interview skills, job market insights, professional branding, and strategies for making the most of the careers fair experience. These sessions were designed to equip students with the confidence and preparation needed to engage effectively with employers.
The Careers and Internship Fair 2026 reflects UNM’s continued commitment to preparing students for employability and successful careers by creating meaningful pathways between university learning and workplace opportunities.
