Expertise Summary

My background is in data storage systems in particular the magnetic recording channel. I also work in communication channels in general and have been recently stepping into other technical fields such as electric vehicles, V2V communication and drone technologies.

Teaching Summary

I currently teach:

EEEE 1042 an introduction to C programming

EEEE 2065 an introduction to C++ programming and

EEEE 4136 Digital Signal processing.

Current Research

My existing established research interests have traditionally been in the magnetic recording channel, mainly for hard disk drives (HDD), digital communication algorithms, and joint detection and decoding for magnetic recording.

Future Research

More recently I am also looking into drone technologies and image processing related to super-resolution and drone video footage. I am also looking into electric vehicle/autonmous vehicle simulation and implementing algorithms to mitigate crash occurences. A third area I am interested in is machine learning classification for medical image applications.
