On Thursday, 17 July 2025, three Bachelor of Laws (LLB) alumni from the University of Nottingham visited our campus in Semenyih for a short courtesy visit.
We know how difficult it can be to get together with your fellow classmates, the friends you made during your time in Nottingham, especially once you’ve entered the career world. Such a strong bond did Nottingham alumni form with one another; these gentlemen graduated in 1974 and 1989, yet they never fail to meet up whenever they find themselves in the same place.

These alumni were:
-
Datuk Prasad Sandosham Abraham, 1974, Retired Federal Court Judge
-
Mr Navasiwayam K. Palaniandy, 1989, Partner at Messrs AIP Law (in Brunei)
-
Mr Arun Krishnalingam, 1989, Senior Partner at Messrs Sativale Mathew Arun
It was just past two o’clock in the afternoon when the gentlement arrived at UNM. They were greeted by our Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing, Jag Singh, before they were guided to a meeting room to meet with the Provost and CEO of UNM, David FitzPatrick, and the Registrar, Patrick Joseph.
Here, they had an insightful discussion regarding the University’s 25th anniversary, the various changes and expansion that Nottingham had undergone between the three campuses, the different experiences between their study life at the UK campus and what it’s like here at the Malaysia campus, as well as a little talk of nostalgia.

Their visit ended on a breezy note as Jag and Patrick took the three gentlemen on a buggy ride around the campus! This was their opportunity to explore the campus on a wider scale, visiting the amenities such as the newly renovated accommodation buildings, the West Lake, the Student Association building, Sports Complex, and many more.
We hope this visit has been a fruitful endeavour for the three LLB alumni!
