Biography

Dr Lee Mei Kee obtained her MPharm (Hons) and PhD from the University of Nottingham. After completing her PhD, she worked as a part-time teaching practitioner in the School of Pharmacy at University of Nottingham Malaysia, before joining as full-time staff in 2019. She is involved in teaching pharmacology and human physiology. Her research interests include:

  • pharmacological activities of medicinal mushrooms- and plant-derived compounds on contractile smooth muscle
  • the impact of microplastics on human health
  • using Virtual Reality (VR) tool in teaching to enhance students learning experience

Dr Lee is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She is also a member of

  • British Pharmacological Society (BPS)
  • Malaysian Community Pharmacy Guild (MCPG)
  • Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS)

Dr Lee is the module convenor of the following modules: PHAR1011 Dyspepsia and LIFE1052 Human Physiology.
