NUBS Malaysia academic receives Emerald Literati award

Dr Dilip S. Mutum, Associate Professor of Marketing at NUBS Malaysia, recently received a Highly Commended Paper award at the 2019 Emerald Literati Awards Distribution Ceremony, during the International Symposium on Applied Structural Equation Modeling and Methodological Matters (SASEM) 2019, at Novotel Melaka, Malacca, Malaysia on 23 August 2019.

Dilip received the award for the article 'Religious symbolism in Islamic financial service advertisements', published in the Journal of Islamic Marketing, which was co-authored with Muhammad Mohsin Butt (Air University School of Management, Air University, Pakistan), the late Professor Ernest Cyril de-Run (Faculty of Economics and Business, University Malaysia Sarawak) and Ammen U-Din (Nottingham University Business School Malaysia).  

The Emerald Publishing Group's Emerald Literati Awards celebrate outstanding and impactful contributions to scholarly research. Winners received their awards from Emerald Publishing Malaysia Business Manager, William Loh, at the special awards ceremony during SASEM 2019. 

Dilip also won the 'Best Paper' award in the Information Systems track at the same conference for a paper titled 'Smartwatch Adoption: A Multi-Group Analysis of Status-Quo Satisfaction' co-authored with Ezlika Ghazali, Michele Hui-Jing Pua and Zalfa Laili Hamzah (University of Malaya); and Professor Ramayah Thurasamy (Universiti Sains Malaysia).
