Nottingham University Business School Malaysia launches Masterclass Series

Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) at the University of Nottingham Malaysia is launching a Masterclass Series, a programme of talks with thought leaders on contemporary topics in business and management which are of interest in practice.

Organised by the Executive Education arm of NUBS Malaysia, the Masterclass Series is a platform to connect the Business School and University community, alumni and industry partners. The Masterclasses, which are complimentary and open to alumni and invited guests, will take place on weekday evenings at the University of Nottingham Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Teaching Centre at Chulan Tower, Jalan Conlay, Kuala Lumpur.

The inaugural Masterclass in the series will be held on Tuesday 16 April 2019, 7pm, on the topic of the application of big data analytics and artificial intelligence in business. The session will be delivered by Professor Alain Chong, Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

“We look forward to engaging with our alumni and industry partners in this Masterclass Series.”

Dr Lau, who is also Associate Professor of Accounting at NUBS Malaysia, will himself be delivering the second Masterclass on MFRS 16 Leases on Tuesday 18 June 2019, which will provide a review of the potential challenges and impacts of the transition and implementation of this new Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS) dealing with accounting for lease contracts that took effect on 1 January 2019.
