CIMA Book Prize Award 2010

 

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus welcomed the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Malaysia Division for a visit to the Business School, where CIMA sponsored book prizes to recognise students with outstanding academic results in Management Accounting modules offered by the Business School.

This is the third year CIMA has sponsored book prizes to students studying at the Malaysia Campus. Four modules are eligible for the prize, of which one is at Level 1, one at Level 2 and two other at Level 3. All these modules are examined once in every academic year. The recipients of the CIMA Book Prize Award for the academic year 2008-09 are:

Ms Tan Chen Xing (for Management Acccounting & Decisions I) - Chen Xing is currently in the second year of her studies at the Malaysia Campus. She took part in the University's exchange programme this academic year, spending a semester at the UK Campus.

Ms Yu Xia Lu (for Management Acccounting & Decisions II) - A student from the university's China Campus, Xia Lu took part in the University's exchange programme last year to pursue the second year of her degree at the Malaysia Campus, during which time she achieved the highest marks in the Level 2 management accounting module. She is currently back in the China Campus to complete her final year.

Mr Ayaz Latif (for Management Acccounting & Decisions III) - Ayaz is currently attached to the Assurance Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers, London. He was also the CIMA Book Prize winner for the module Management Accounting & Decisions I in the 2006-07 academic year.

Ms Chen Hui Jing (for Management Acccounting & Decisions IV) - Hui Jing received scholarship awards from the Tan Sri Alex Lee Athletes' Education Fund during second and third year of her degree studies at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. She is currently training full-time with the National Women's Basketball team and is preparing for the 2011 SEA Games. She will be pursuing the CIMA professional qualification following that.
