The University of Nottingham recently celebrated the graduation of 27 students on its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at a commencement dinner in Singapore on 13 January 2017. Nottingham University Business School has campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia, with the MBA programme offered in the UK, Malaysia, and at the University's overseas partner institution in Singapore, PSB Academy.

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) PhD students Chong Yen Yee and Tiong Yong Wei were awarded best oral presenters at the 9th Regional Chemical Engineering Conference on Chemical Engineering, for their presentations on their respective research on producing fuel from bio-oil and bio waste respectively, held in Kuala Lumpur recently.

K. Nagulendran (Nagu), a third year PhD student with the School of Geographical and Environmental Sciences, led a multi-stakeholder exercise involving several hundred participants to identify conservation priorities in Peninsular Malaysia. They have produced a list of 35 ranked conservation issues within seven general themes.
