Institute for Aerospace Technology
The ambition of the University of Nottingham's Institute for Aerospace Technology is to be a partner of choice in our five key areas of research:
- aero engines and propulsion
- aerospace manufacturing
- aerospace operations
- erospace materials and structures
- more electric aircraft
The Institute links up researchers working across all three of the University of Nottingham's campuses in Malaysia, China and the UK. The Malaysian government aims to be a regional aerospace leader by 2030, helping to shift the country’s economy from labour intensive to high value-added, knowledge and innovation-based economic activities, focusing on the services and manufacturing sectors. Aerospace manufacturing plays a major role in this national plan and so our Institute of Aerospace Technology is strategically well placed to capitalize on this dynamic and growing environment.Specialists from global aerospace companies and aviation leaders have joined forces with our researchers and academics and together we are creating an extraordinary future for aerospace technology. We’re always searching to discover the next innovation within aerospace bringing people and projects together, if you share our ambition and passion for smarter, greener and faster aircraft, we’d like to hear from you.
