Executive education programme on leading high performance teams in the public sector

JPA-BLHPT-2021

Following the success of the Advanced Management Programme conducted for senior officials from the Malaysian Public Services Department (JPA), the Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) Malaysia Executive Education arm organised a five-day programme on ‘Building and Leading High Performance Teams in the Public Sector' from 29 March to 2 April 2021, for junior officers of the JPA.

Held at the Royale Chulan Seremban Hotel, NUBS Malaysia academics Dr Jayalakshmy Ramachandran (Associate Professor of Auditing and Accounting), Dr Mathew Abraham  (Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour), Dr Maniam Kaliannan (Associate Professor of Human Resource Management) and Dr Angelina Yee (Director of Executive Education and Associate Professor of Accounting), together with Dr Peter Morgan of NUBS China (Associate Dean and Associate Professor), and Professor Deborah Hall of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, facilitated sessions on governance and ethics; motivating and coaching; understanding human relationships in teams; and managing projects and team performance.

The programme also featured a guest talk by Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Dr Jason Pandya-Wood, who spoke on reflections on social policy in the time of COVID-19.
